Wallis Bird signs to Rubyworks
Rubyworks are delighted to announce the signing of Wallis Bird for Ireland and the UK. Hailing from County Wexford, Wallis has impressed everyone with the intensity and passion of her live performances; nurturing a gig-going following whose admiration borders on the devotional.Wallis is currently in Germany recording her new album, the follow up to 2007's debut outing 'Spoons'. She says: 'I'm absolutely thrilled to be signing to Rubyworks for the UK and Ireland. They have a well deserved reputation as a label with integrity who work in a true partnership with their artists, and I'm looking forward to a long and successful relationship with them'. The demos for the new album show us that she's ready to go on to the next stage of her career'. Already nominated for RTE 2FM's Hope For 2009 Award at this month's Meteors; Wallis has also been confirmed to appear at Oxegen in July.
