Garron Noone releases his highly anticipated musical debut today with "Highwayman,".
Having already charmed millions with his signature dry wit and "delicious" takes, Garron Noone is officially expanding his creative reach into the music industry. The online sensation makes his highly anticipated musical debut today with the release of "Highwayman,".
While millions recognize him for his sharp wit and the iconic "Follow me, I’m delicious" mantra, "Highwayman" serves as an introduction to Garron Noone the musician. The track strips away the comedy to spotlight the Mayo native’s commanding vocal presence, a soulful sound that demands to be taken seriously.
While his takes on Irish life made him a household name, Garron Noone’s creative foundation has always been built on music. With the release of "Highwayman," he steps beyond the digital screen to claim his place as a recording artist, finally bringing his lifelong musical roots to the center stage.
“I was thrilled to record “Highwayman. It's the single that made me fall in love with country music when I was 12 or 13. I learned it on guitar and have been playing it ever since. I put up a clip of me playing it about 2 years ago and it unexpectedly did really well. People have been asking me to release a version ever since and it’s one of my favourite songs so why not.
I’m really happy with the version we’ve done. I've always played it acoustically but Gavin and the lads did an amazing job helping me put the track together!
I’m just about to head to Uganda for 2 weeks with a great charity called hope on wheels who provide ambulances as mobile medical centres, after that I have a few big gigs in Ireland and of course I’ll be shouting at cups of tea as usual on TikTok” - Garron Noone
A bold reimagining of the Jimmy Webb classic, "Highwayman" carries the weight of its storied past, most notably cemented by the country supergroup The Highwaymen (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson). To bring this cinematic narrative to life, Garron collaborated with producer Gavin Glass at Orphan Recording Studios, resulting in a version that honors the original while carving out its own modern identity.
"Highwayman" is available to stream on all major platforms now.
