The Original Rudeboys
The debut album from Dublin band O.R.B (formally, 'The Original Rudeboys') – 'This Life' went straight into the Irish album charts at number 3 in 2012. This was a fantastic result for the acoustic hip-hop trio, who posted their first video for 'Stars In My Eyes' from their living room just over a year previous. The album was recorded in the UK with Jake Gosling, best known for producing Ed Sheeran's multi-platinum debut album '+'. 'This Life' was released on Gotta Run Records, a division of Rubyworks in March 2012.
The band have built up a loyal following; with nearly 4 and a half million views on YouTube, and a unique, personal approach to fan interaction on Facebook and Twitter. This has been supported by good old fashioned gigging around the country, including high profile support slots with The Game and Olly Murs, Professor Green, Sweedish House Mafia as well as embarking on a European and Australian Tour with The Script in the summer of 2012. Since this, O.R.B have gone from strength to strength with three sold out headline shows in Dublins Olympia Theatre in 2013 as well as a hughly successful U.K and Irish headline tours.
